October is a month full of all things fall, except where I live. We get like two weeks of lovely fall weather – and then it snows lol. Case in point mid-October: we had a massive snowfall warning for all of northern Alberta halfway through the month and I thought for sure this is it, winter has arrived #winteriscoming
We had a few really snowy days with chilly temperatures, and then things started melting and we had the most random rain showers sporadically. So ya, last month’s weather gave me whiplash and I don’t know whether to pack away my Sorel’s or keep them out.
Anyway, it was a busy, fun-filled one and I wanted to share some of my October favourites with you ♥
#1 // This lululemon restore wrap arrived in the mail a few weeks ago and I’ve had it on repeat since. It is so comfortable and I love that the sleeves are long enough for me (I have long arms lol), plus it’s perfect for a growing belly and post-baby nursing. Mom win 🙂
#2 // I borrowed my sister’s anastasia brow pomade when I was visiting her, and seriously you guys, my world was rocked. This stuff is amazing! I use the shade soft brown, along with the anastasia eyebrow brush. I did find it a little pricey (especially the brow brush), but honestly, I’ve tried several different brow pencils and pomades and nothing has come close to comparing to this one (and the brush is better than anything I’ve used before too) – I don’t have to worry about a brow rubbing off or anything with it!
^ my sister’s brow’s though ♥♥♥
#3 // When M and I were wandering Chinook mall in Calgary, I spied this cozy fall blanket scarf in the window of Sirens (the most random, clothing-stuffed store ever lol!). I picked it up for under $20 and its been on repeat since.
#4 // For me, the perfect fall/winter scent is fireside marshmallow from B&BW. It’s not too sweet of a scent, more of a mix between musky, woodsy, and comfort. I don’t know how to describe it lol, but I love it and when the 3 wick candles go on sale, I always stock up on this particular one.
#5 // I love a good dry shampoo and it is really hard to find one that works for my fine, dark hair. So many weigh it down or leave a crazy white cast. I’ve been really enjoying Dove’s dry shampoo lately and while it leaves a slight white cast after spraying, I have a solution: let it sit for a few minutes to absorb any oil, then gently rub it into the roots and brush it out. Problem solved 🙂 This one is a win, I’m telling you.
