I made this toy organizer last year sometime, and it’s still going strong for us – I love it! I shared it on my old blog and thought it was pretty fitting for A Dash Of Mum.
I picked up a few bins with handles from the dollar store for this diy, along with some 7lb command hooks.
Since I couldn’t find bins with holes all over (instead of just the sides), I brought out my drill and a large drill bit to poke a bunch of holes in the bottoms. This helps drain water out and prevents mold. If your bin doesn’t have any side holes, drill a few along the edges too.
Clean the tile or wall along the tub where the bins will hang (I used my vinegar/water solution) and let dry. Then adhere the command hooks and let them cure.
I love it, and like I said, it’s still going strong for us. Bear sometimes takes the whole bin and plays with the toys and the bin together in the tub. When bath time is over, we put everything in and then hang it up to drain.
I love that if we collect more bath toys, I can easily hang another container above these two as well.
Thanks for stopping in!
